RAW VIDEO: Car fire in downtown Rock Island

A car fire got the business day started in downtown Rock Island on Thursday.

Rock Island fire officials tell Local 4 News that the vehicle had its power steering fluid over-filled, which combusted.

The car is a total loss, but there were no injuries reported. A purse was recovered from the vehicle.

The Rock Island Fire Department was able to stop the fire from spreading to the interior, arriving on the scene around 8:19 a.m.
