Your local election headquarters caught up with Rock Island mayor-elect Mike Thoms the morning after the race. He sits down with Local 4’s Emily Scarlett.

Thoms came out the winner with 52% of the vote.

Three other names were on the ballot: former alderman Terry Brooks, current alderman Stephen Tollenaer and a former congressman’s economic director Andrew Rowe.

Current mayor Dennis Pauley announced last year that he would not seek re-elction.
