We’ll be exchanging our recent cold temperatures for plenty of rain this weekend.
Showers and perhaps even a few thunderstorms will move into the QCA by the middle part of Saturday, bringing anywhere from 0.50-1.00″ of rainfall by the evening.
The extra water could cause more flooding issues on area rivers. With the ground frozen in most locations, much of the rainfall will run straight into creeks, streams, and rivers.
Rising temperatures and river levels will make ice jams more likely as well.
Saturday: Rain, with a few thunderstorms. Temperatures in the mid-40s. Winds 15-20 mph.
Sunday: Partly sunny. Temperatures in the upper 30s. Winds 20-30 mph.
