SNOW TOTALS: Now 2nd snowiest January on record in Quad Cities

UPDATE: Final airport observations are in from the airports in Davenport and Moline. Davenport’s total now stands at 4.1″ from last night. Moline saw a total of 3.2″ of snow. That would put January snowfall in the Quad Cities at 25.7″, one inch off of the record.

ORIGINAL STORY: Average January snowfall in the Quad Cities is about 9.4″. As of midnight, our monthly total is now 23.9″! That number will rise when our morning snowfall is tallied. 

That moves January 2019 into 2nd place for total snow, right behind 1979’s total of 26.7″.

Eldridge, IA: 3.5″

Kewanee, IL: 3.4″

Aledo, IL: 3.0″

Bettendorf: 2.8″

Muscatine, IA: 2.5″

Princeton, IL: 2.5″

Geneseo, IL: 2.7″

Mt. Pleasant, IA: 1.5″

Moline (QC Intl. Airport): 1.4″ (as of Midnight)
