Stabbing investigation brings warrant for robbery


UPDATE: Police are looking for a man wanted for robbery as officers continue their investigation into a stabbing earlier this week.

Kevin Jermaine Jefferson, 36, is currently wanted on a Des Moines County warrant charging him with robbery in the first degree, a Class B felony.

The charge stems from an ongoing investigation into the Sunday stabbing incident that took place in an apartment in the 1000 block of Court Street.

Officers located a 36-year-old Burlington resident with a serious wound to the face and neck area. 


Police responded to a stabbing that occurred at 1005 Court Street in Burlington at 1:15 AM Sunday morning.

When police arrived they found a 36-year-old man that had stab wounds to his neck and face.

The victim was transported to a medical center for treatment.

The suspect had fled the scene by the time police arrived at the scene.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
