UPDATE: Police say “the investigation is in its early stages, but this shooting is believed to be done in retaliation due to the homicide of Corey Harrell Jr., which occurred in Moline on October 31, 2018.”

The Moline Police Department has arrested Terril S. Jenkins, 23, of Moline and charged him with attempted first degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm.
Moline Police say a suspect is in custody in Monday night’s shooting.
Moline Police say the shooting victim with the most serious injuries made it through surgery and continues to be in critical condition.
Physicians do not anticipate a change in his condition for a few days.
An investigation is underway after two people were shot last night in Moline.
Local 4 News was first on the scene.
It happened last night just after 9:30 p.m. at 6th Avenue near 25th Street.
When officers arrived, they found two 19-year-old victims.
One was shot several times and was taken to Unity Point for surgery.
That person is in critical condition this morning.
The second victim was shot once and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the two were driving eastbound when another vehicle drove up and began shooting.
No arrests have been made at this time.
The Moline Police Department is asking anyone with information to please contact them or Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities.
Moline, East Moline and Illinois State Police are investigating a shooting scene near 23rd Street and 6th Avenue in Moline.
One detective tells Local 4 News there have been multiple people shot, two transported with injuries. We saw one man being taken into custody.
