Suspect in Easter shooting arrives from South Dakota a month after arrest

The man accused of killing Jenni McGruder in an early morning shooting on Easter is back in Galesburg.

Jonathan I. Kelly was transferred from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, by officers from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Galesburg Police Department.

Kelly was taken to the Knox County Jail, where he remains in custody awaiting court proceedings.

Kelly was apprehended in Sioux Falls on May 27.
