Three rescued from Rock River, 5-year-old girl still missing

UPDATE:

Local 4 News was first on the scene when one person was pulled from the Rock River near Hennepin Canal in Milan.

Local 4 has confirmed with Blackhawk Fire Department that a total of three people were rescued; a mother and two boys.

They are being treated at Trinity West Hospital. 

A spokesperson from Blackhawk Fire says a 5-year-old girl is still missing.

Crews searched for about three hours before calling off efforts just before 9 p.m.

Search efforts will resume tomorrow morning, at which point the Rock Island Fire Department will take over the case.

A river rescue this evening on the Rock River in Milan. Local 4 News was first on the scene. The call came in before 7 p.m.
What we know at this time is that one person was pulled from the river. Two rescue workers had to also be pulled out.
At one point rescue workers used a boat from the backwater gamblers to try and continue.
There are indications that there is at least one more person to be rescued.
