Believe it or not, we haven’t picked up any measurable snow in the Quad Cities for almost 2 weeks!

That streak is more than likely coming to an end on Thursday.

A band of snow will move across Iowa on Thursday and arrive in the Quad Cities late in the morning or in the early afternoon.

The heaviest totals will be South of the Quad Cities and I-80.  Places like Burlington, Mt Pleasant, Fairfield (IA) and Monmouth could pick up 2-3 inches.  This will be a storm where heavier totals show up South of the QC and lighter totals are reported to the North.

The Quad Cities total will be more like an inch to an inch and a half.  Here are some of the computer model projections for the Quad Cities.

Right now we’re in 6th place for “all-time snowiest seasons in the Quad Cities.”  This should get us into the top 5 by Thursday night.
