U.S. Navy veteran receives a new ride ahead of Veterans day

News

“It was more than I could ever dream.”

United States Navy Veteran Matthew Belin received the gift of a lifetime Thursday.

“This car is going to affect every part of my life from social activities to better nutrition, living a more active lifestyle and spiritually.”

Belin was the recipient of Iowa Progressive’s program ‘Keys to Progress.’

One that donates more than 100 cars to nearly 500 military veterans in need nationwide.

“You’d be surprised at how hard it is to find veterans who are willing to admit that they need help,” said Iowa Progressive claims manager Brian Parizek. “They are very prideful and that’s the hardest part of this program, so it was two years being in contact with Matt until he was chosen as the recipient for this year.”

However progressive couldn’t do it alone, which is why they partnered with Dahl Ford in Davenport to make it all possible.

“Dahl Ford is so happy to be partners with Progressive on the ‘Keys to Progress’, said KV Dahl III “What a neat deal to get this gentleman a vehicle it’s just fantastic.”

Belin’s first official destination?

“Probably go home and see my mom and son that’s my plans that’s going to be the first formal destination for my new ride.”

A ride that will change his life forever.
