A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Quad Cities for Thursday into Friday.

We’re looking at light snow and freezing drizzle at times from Thursday around lunchtime through early Friday morning.

Snow totals will amount to half an inch to an inch in the Quad Cities.

Some models are suggesting about an inch and a half, but our forecast calls for up to an inch in the metro Quad Cities.

If we were only going to see snow we likely wouldn’t have an advisory issued.  But the combo of light snow and freezing drizzle could cause some slick roads Thursday, Thursday night and Friday.

If we get half an inch or more, that puts us in the top 5 for snowiest seasons ever in the Quad Cities.
