Samantha Rivera reports from Halas Hall, keeping you in the loop on what you need to know for the Chicago Bears’ week 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Right now, the Bears have a chance at a number two seed with a first round bye, if Chicago beats Minnesota and the Rams beat the 49ers.
The last time these two teams met, it was Chicago who came out with the victory – a game Bears Head Coach, Matt Nagy calls a turning point in their season.
Remember that nasty hit by Vikings’ safety, Harrison Smith? Despite it sidelining Mitch Trubisky for two games, the Bears quarterback says he doesn’t dwell on the past, and definitely won’t be thinking about it heading into Sunday’s game.
According to Nagy, there’s also a possibility of offensive lineman, Kyle Long returning to the field this Sunday, after being out for almost two months with a foot injury. He’s been practicing with the team since last week.
Defensive back, Eddie Jackson and linebacker, Aaron Lynch are still out with an ankle and elbow injury, respectively. Nagy says despite needing to win on Sunday, they will not risk playing anyone who isn’t ready.
