Hawkeyes basketball fans aren’t ready to give up the fever yet.
They hosted a party of sorts Friday night to celebrate a season to remember and honor the women’s team’s first appearance in the national championship game.
After clinching a regional title in Seattle, the trip to the Final Four in Dallas was highlighted by and upset of previously unbeaten No. 1 South Carolina.
It remains fresh for the fans two weeks later.
Hawkeye Headquarters reporter Blake Hornstein joined us live from Iowa City on Local 4 News at 4 and 5.

Then Local 4 News at 6 took a live look at the celebration and heard from Iowa associate head coach Jan Jensen, who thanked the sometimes-unsung members of the program and led the crowd in a chant to close the show.
