Hawkeyes basketball fans aren’t ready to give up the fever yet.

They hosted a party of sorts Friday night to celebrate a season to remember and honor the women’s team’s first appearance in the national championship game.

After clinching a regional title in Seattle, the trip to the Final Four in Dallas was highlighted by and upset of previously unbeaten No. 1 South Carolina.

It remains fresh for the fans two weeks later.

Hawkeye Headquarters reporter Blake Hornstein joined us live from Iowa City on Local 4 News at 4 and 5.

Watch the videos above and below to see what he and the fans he spoke to had to say about the unprecedented success of this season.

Then Local 4 News at 6 took a live look at the celebration and heard from Iowa associate head coach Jan Jensen, who thanked the sometimes-unsung members of the program and led the crowd in a chant to close the show.

The returning Hawkeyes have some ideas for an encore.

And then there’s Caitlin Clark. Here are some of the highlights:

Like on the basketball court, Clark got her teammates involved on the stage, asking Gabbie Marshall, McKenna Warnock and Monika Czinano what their favorite parts of the season were. You can see those answers here:

And then Blake Hornstein wraps it all up with his report from Iowa City:
