Iowa All-Big Ten tight end and preseason All-American Noah Fant declared for the NFL Draft on Friday morning via social media, ending his Hawkeyes career before the upcoming bowl game.
“After multiple discussions with my family, coaches, and a lot of prayer, I have decided to forego the remainder of my eligibility and declare for the 2019 NFL Draft,” Fant said in a tweet.
Fant caught 78 passes for 1,083 yards in three seasons with the Hawkeyes, including 19 for touchdowns.
Fant caught 39 passes for 519 yards and a team-high seven TDs this season.
Fant earned first-team All-Big Ten honors and could be selected in the first round next spring.
