The Iowa Women’s Basketball team is back in the NCAA Tournament after missing it the last 2 seasons.

The Hawkeyes are a six seed will take on 11th seeded Creighton on March 17 at 5 p.m. CT in Los Angeles.

Hear what head coach Lisa Bluder and the Hawkeyes had to say about getting back to the tourney in the video above — or read it here:

“Obviously we knew we were gonna to be in, but just to see your name come up, it never…it’s always a thrill, every single time. We’re a six seed, kind of where we thought we would be. It’s ironic we’re going all the way to L.A. to play a team that’s three hours away from us, but we’re excited about the opportunity.”

— Lisa Bluder, Iowa head coach

“It’s so exciting. I mean being able to be in the NCAA tournament, it’s my first time, so I’m just really excited. It was a little bit nerve-wracking, not hearing our name until the end, but it kind of made it all worth it and so we’re really excited to go to Los Angeles.”

— Megan Gustafson, Iowa junior forward

“We haven’t got to jump out of our seats like that since my freshman year. To do it with these girls and this team is so special. They mean so much to me and we’ve worked so hard all season to get to this point. I mean, this is the high-point of the season. This is what you work for all year and I’m just really proud of our team for making it this far.”

— Chase Coley, Iowa senior forward

“It’s something that you dream about. You watch the selection show every year, and especially last year when we missed out on it… it’s not a good feeling, so to finally see our name pop-up on the screen is really exciting.”

— Makenzie Meyer, Iowa sophomore guard
