While the Hawkeyes’ 2nd round exit in the NCAA tournament didn’t sit well amongst the team, they’re excited about the steps they’ve taken in turning the program around.
“The work ethic we put in last year, I think that’s going to be a stepping stone for us this next year,” said junior guard Jordan Bohannon.
Tyler Cook agrees. “Knowing the guys in this locker room, knowing myself, like, times that by 10,” said the junior forward. “That’s how hard we’re gonna work. You don’t want to look forward too much, but every single guy in this locker room is going to be special.”
The Hawkeyes are expecting several, if not all, starters to return for the 2019 season, as well as players coming back from injury including Cordelle Pemsl and Jack Nunge.
