Ross encouraged by Steamwheelers’ competetiveness

The Steamwheelers (2-4) are coming off of a Bye week with a chance to reverse the team’s 3-game losing streak this weekend.

“I told guys and the entire community when we joined the IFL, as big as everybody thought it was and may be took big for us, that we were going to compete, and we’ve been doing just that,” said head coach Cory Ross. “We have been barely out of games, barely missing those games. And once we fine tune a couple more things, become a little bit more disciplined on defense as far as some of the penalties that we have, we’ll start showing teams who we are.”
