EARLIER UPDATE

We’ve already been dealing with the longest major flood ever on the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities, and now it’s about to get even worse over the next 48 hours.

Monday morning’s record rainfall is now being channeled into the Mississippi and the crest forecast has been raised to 21.5′ by late Tuesday/Wednesday.

Keep in mind though, we have another round of heavy rain likely on Tuesday.  This could push the crest even higher.

As of Monday morning we stand at 20.93′.
